Ironclad was prime contractor on Kitstone Commons, which is an innovative 440-acre agrihood community located near Carstairs, Alberta requiring over 700,000 m3 of bulk earthmoving to complete the site grading.

Resources & Challenges

  • Total Crew: 20 Persons
  • Equipment Used:
    8 Scrapers, 4 Rock Trucks, 2 Excavators, 2 Dozers, 2 Graders, 2 Water Trucks.
  • Challenges:  
    The project was challenged by a water course on-site that was preventing efficient earthwork operations and Ironclad constructed earthen temporary crossings for haul road access.
